NEW PALESTINE
Sandra Jane (Lawson) Bogan, age 72, of New Palestine, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Whitley County, Kentucky on February 4, 1949 to Andrew Lawson and Nanny (Gosnell) Lawson. In 1966, she graduated from Whitley County High School. She married James Michael Bogan on July 18, 2009, in Greenfield.
Before her retirement, Sandra was employed at both Paper Art Company in accounting and Blakley’s Corporation in operations. She enjoyed shopping and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and all of her “bonus” grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, James Bogan of New Palestine; children, Carla (Paul) Linton of Greenfield, Cassandra (Mike) Bilyak of Hobart, Robert Bogan of Greenwood, Michael (Kristin) Bogan of Homer, and Jennifer (Clint) Thompson of Floyds Knob; 17 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers; and 5 sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Nanny; and sister, Bonnie Russell.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. also at the mortuary. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery.
