HANCOCK COUNTY — Verizon retailer TCC is giving away backpacks filled with school supplies at two of its locations in the county.
The giveaways will be between 1 and 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 1 at the TCC locations at 1306 N. State St. in Greenfield and 6869 W. Broadway in McCordsville.
Each store will donate up to 150 backpacks on a first-come, first-served basis.
Additionally, TCC will also be awarding three $10,000 college scholarships as a part of its Big Impact program. Children in grades K-12 are eligible for entry and can be registered at their local TCC stores during the backpack giveaway event. Entries will be accepted from Aug. 1 through 8.
