Events to assist with FAFSA applications

INDIANAPOLIS — There will be five in-person application completion events to help students and families file 2021-22 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The Indiana Commission for Higher Education is hosting the event. Despite the original April 15 deadline having passed, students and families can still seek assistance to see if they are eligible for the Federal Pell Grant. The grant provides financial assistance to undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need. Unlike a loan, the Federal Pell Grant does not have to be repaid, except under certain criteria.

The events are this week and next week at several locations in Indianapolis. For a list of dates and times as well as a list of items required for the application, visit www.in.gov/che.
