Local students graduate from DePauw

The list included Macy Brown, Kate Cowger and Christian Jones from Pendleton; Tessa Freeman, Michael Sosnowski and Griffin Spurgin of Greenfield; Elizabeth Harris, Hannah Hughes and Grace Miles of New Palestine; Emily Howard, Lily Jennings and Clayton Troyer of McCordsville; Riley Hurst, Carson Janes and Julia Patras of Fortville; and Kyler Schaetzle of Knightstown. Ketting University announces dean’s list

FLINT, MI – Kettering University has released its dean’s list for the spring semester, 2021. Earning dean’s list honors were Denver Campbell, son of Chris and Karen Campbell of Greenfield; and Briggs Uhler, son of Dusty and Mel Uhler of Charlottesville.

Both are 2018 Eastern Hancock graduates and Mechanical Engineering majors. The dean’s list is an honor earned by students who, in a given term, have attained a minimum weighted grade average of 3.5, have received no grades below B, and have earned a minimum of 16 credits. Carlson graduates from Colorado College

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — Emily Carlson, McCordsville, graduated from Colorado College with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. ANDERSON — The following local students have been named to the Anderson University Dean’s List for spring 2021: Alicia Chapman, Kalynn Condrey, Harley Cowart, Elisha Deluhery, Evelyn Fletcher, Brianna Franke, Aleksa Lawry, Courtney Marchello, Sara Pridgen and Emily Wilson. FRANKLIN — Franklin College’s 2021 Commencement took place on May 22. Graduates from Hancock County include:

• Larken Adams, daughter of Kip Adams of Greenfield and Elizabeth Bryant of Fairland, earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in art history and art studio (graphic design). She graduated summa cum laude.

• Braydon Augustinovicz, son of Jeffery and Julie Augustinovicz of McCordsville, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in exercise science.

• Jessica Chastain, daughter of Aaron and Julie Chastain of McCordsville, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology. She graduated summa cum laude.

• Macie Dungan, daughter of Mark and Kam Dungan of Greenfield, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology.

• Andrew Elixman, formerly of Greenwood, son of Elizabeth Craig of New Palestine, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology.

• Clayton Miller, son of Lisa Miller of Fortville, earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in art history and art studio (graphic design).

• Jacob Mize, son of Harold Mize of Greenfield, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business/marketing.

• Olivia Scott, daughter of Phillip and Jill Scott of Greenfield, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology. She graduated magna cum laude. Her peers selected her as a Top Ten Senior.

• Luke Smoot, son of Jim and Denise Smoot of Greenfield, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations.

Ratts earns high honors at MSOE

MILWAUKEE, WI — Nicole Ratts, Greenfield, was recently named to the spring semester dean’s list with high honors at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Ratts is working toward a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. Undergraduate students who have earned at least 30 credits and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.70 or higher receive high honors. Hexamer named to Saint Mary’s College dean’s list

NOTRE DAME — Victoria Hexamer, Greenfield, was recently named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Saint Mary’s College. To earn this academic honor at Saint Mary’s, a student must achieve a grade point average of at least 3.6 on a 4.0 scale, have a minimum of 12 graded credit hours, no incompletes, and no grades lower than a C.
