CHARLOTTESVILLE — Eastern Hancock schools will host a vaccination clinic from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, July 6, in the high school cafeteria. The event is open to EH students and their families.

Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines will be available; the Pfizer vaccine is available to children ages 12 and older, while the others are available to adults. The Pfizer and Moderna shots are a two-dose regimen.

Other vaccines, including those for influenza, polio and hepatitis, will also be available.

Those who would like to have their children participate in the vaccination clinic should complete the consent and questionnaire online at patients.vaxcare.com/registration and use the code IN10647. Children’s immunization records will be reviewed prior to the administration of any vaccine, and a parent or guardian must be present with any child who is getting vaccinated.

On the day of the clinic, participants should enter through Door 20 at the rear of the high school.

The county health department plans to hold at least one vaccination clinic at each of the county’s four school corporations during the summer to ensure all students have an opportunity to get vaccinated before school resumes starting in late July.

Community members with questions or concerns may contact the Hancock County Health Department prior to the clinic date by calling 317-477-1125 or emailing [email protected].
