1. CUMBERLAND — The Town of Cumberland will host its first Blues, Beer and BBQ event of the summer this weekend, from 6-10 p.m. June 26.

Expect plenty of music, cold beer and barbecue at the event, held at the outdoor Saturn Space at 11623 E. Washington St. in Indianapolis, just west of Greenfield.

Admission is free.

Food truck vendors include The Pullup Grill and The Books, Bourbon and Bacon food truck. This week’s musical acts will be Queen Delphine and the Crown Jewels followed by the Tad Robinson Band.

Future musical guests include Gordon Bonham and Harper & the Midwest Kind on July 31, King Bee and the Stingers and The Paul Nelson Band on Aug. 28, and Gene Deer and Biscuit Miller & the Mix on Sept. 25.

2. GREENFIELD — Head over to the Riley Boyhood Home and Museum for the Pixy/Goblin Tea Party, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. June 27. Join the staff and pixy friends in the gardens behind the Riley House, at 244 W. Main St. in Greenfield, for a day of fun. All proceeds will help fund future programming at the home and museum. 3. McCORDSVILLE — Join the Town of McCordsville, the Fortville-Vernon Township Public Library, and families all across America for the National Wildlife Federation’s Great American Campout on Saturday, June 26 at the McCordsville Town Hall Park.

The campout takes place from 6 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday at the park, at 6280 W. 800 North in McCordsville.

There will be a variety of fun activities for families throughout the evening, including watching “The Secret Life of Pets” under the stars. Families will need to provide their own gear. Pre-registration is required for the campout but not for just attending the movie, which starts at 9:30.
