“Holes” is next Sunset Movie

GREENFIELD – Stillinger’s Family Funeral Home’s Sunset Movie Series continues with “Holes” on June 19 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 W. Main St. The doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the movie begins at dusk. Future films include “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” (July 10), “Bolt” (Aug. 7) and “Hoosiers” on Sept. 4. Limited spots are available. Riley Pool offers free swim times

Teens can create optical illusion art with sand

GREENFIELD/NEW PALESTINE – Teens can pick up a take-and-make optical illusion sand art kit during open library hours on June 21 at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road, Greenfield, or the New Palestine Branch Library at 5731 West U.S. Highway 52, New Palestine. The kits include one of five 3-D designs and colored sand for creating the pattern. Zoo opens new alligator and crocodile exhibit

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Zoo welcomes two new species with the opening of Alligators & Crocodiles: The Fight to Survive. Visitors can see these massive adult animals up close in an outdoor habitat and have an opportunity to touch juvenile alligators during daily Wild Encounter interactions. The new exhibit also highlights the importance of conservation through the success story of the American alligator, a species that has rebounded from the brink of extinction.
