Community breakfasts to resume

McCORDSVILLE — Community breakfasts will resume next month at McCordsville United Methodist Church after not taking place for more than a year out of concern for safety amid COVID-19.

The next breakfast is set for 7:30 to 10 a.m. June 19 at the church, 6247 W. Broadway, McCordsville.

Chick-fil-A tent visits Fortville on Thursday

FORTVILLE — The Chick-Fil-A tent will be up at Fortville Farmers Market.

Its presence throughout the summer at the market, which takes place 4 to 7 p.m. Thursdays in the parking lot of Fortville Church of the Nazarene, will be a fundraiser for the church’s student ministry. Fifteen percent of the proceeds will go toward summer events and activities for the youth.

You can buy a regular or spicy chicken sandwich, along with various salad/fruit or wrap options — with chips, not fries. Find menu options at “Chick-fil-A at FortNaz” on Facebook.

Pantry could use peanut butter, canned goods

FORTVILLE — Fortville Area Resource Mission distributes food in a drive-thru format from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesdays outside Fortville Christian Church, 9450 N. County Road 200W.

Items that would be particularly helpful to donate include canned soup, canned chicken, peanut butter, boxed macaroni and cheese, canned fruit and canned vegetables.

You can drop off needed items in the entry breezeway of Fortville Christian Church at any time during the week.
