Revival services start Sunday

GREENFIELD — Revival services are set for Sunday through Wednesday at Greenfield First Church of the Nazarene, 1980 S. State St.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday. Services will then be at 7 nightly, Monday through Wednesday.

The evangelist will be Dr. Lenny Wisehart. He grew up in the Fortville Church of the Nazarene and has pastored several Nazarene churches over the decades.

The worship leader will be Justin Wells.

Electronics recycling set for June

GREENFIELD — Dispose of unwanted household electronics at a recycling event in June.

Technology Recyclers will accept items from 8 a.m. to noon June 19 at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, 3447 S. State Road 9.

TVs and monitors can be disposed of for $20 each.

For other items, the event is free, but donations will be accepted. Accepted items include computers, laptops, office copiers, small kitchen appliances, lawn equipment, speakers, VCRs, cables and wires, medical electronics, batteries, printers, fax machines, PDAs, DVD players, stereos, cell phones, lab equipment, microwaves, game systems and more.

Items that will not be accepted include clothing, furniture, paint, toxic chemicals, wood and tires.

Chick-fil-A tent visits Fortville on Thursday

FORTVILLE — The Chick-Fil-A tent will be up at Fortville Farmers Market.

Its presence throughout the summer at the market, which takes place 4 to 7 p.m. Thursdays in the parking lot of Fortville Church of the Nazarene, will be a fundraiser for the church’s student ministry. Fifteen percent of the proceeds will go toward summer events and activities for the youth.

You can buy a regular or spicy chicken sandwich, along with various salad/fruit or wrap options — with chips, not fries. Find menu options at “Chick-fil-A at FortNaz” on Facebook.

Car show to benefit Zoey’s Place

GREENFIELD — Men’s groups are planning a car show for 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday (May 22) at Brandywine Community Church, 1551 E. New Road, Greenfield. It will benefit Zoey’s Place Child Advocacy Center.

Bounce houses and a fish and tenderloin fry are also planned.

Entries can be cars, motorcycles, tractors … organizers say if you can drive it, you can show it.

Entrants can register from noon to 2 p.m.

Cost to enter is any donation. Awards and door prizes will be given at 5 p.m. Awards include Top 40 (all makes and models), dash plaques for the first 50 registered, Pastor’s Choice, “Zoey’s Choice” and Best of Show.

Mercy Table meal is today

FORTVILLE — The next Mercy Table community meal is set for noon to 2 p.m. Saturday (May 22) at Mercy Road Church Northeast, 611 Vitality Drive in Fortville.

Organizers say it is open to the public and to come as you are.
