GREENFIELD – The driver education platform Driving-Tests.org is now available for free on the Hancock County Public Library’s website. Patrons can access Driving-Tests to prepare for their Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) knowledge exam by visiting “Online Resources” at hcplibrary.org. Driving-Tests provides Hancock County Public Library patrons with unlimited access to official state driver’s manuals; online practice tests for car, motorcycle and commercial driver’s license (CDL); an exam simulator; and DMV-related FAQs. Tests can be accessed from any computer or mobile device.

The service, located in the Learning & DIY section, is designed to help aspiring as well as more experienced drivers refresh their memories or review changes in driving regulations.

According to the platform, Driving-Tests helps patrons pass their driving knowledge test faster and more effectively. Learner drivers who take the practice tests and read the official manual are 73% more likely to pass than those who study the manual alone.

The Driving-Tests collection includes access to a DMV office finder, a beginner driver’s guide, a virtual DMV assistant and a Challenge Bank — a special test that keeps track of the user’s wrong answers from taking practice tests and makes them available for review.

The service is part of a plan to improve driver safety by providing free practice tests, written by experts, to anyone who wants to study along with online copies of official driving manuals.
