GREENFIELD — The Hancock County Health Department is offering its second walk-in vaccine clinic today (Saturday, May 8) at Greenfield-Central High School.

The clinic will be held in the high school gymnasium. Health department personnel and volunteers will offer first doses of the Moderna vaccine against COVID-19 from 8 a.m. to noon, with no appointment needed. Second doses of the vaccine will also be administered to those who received their first dose at the previous walk-in event.

The Moderna vaccine is available to all Indiana residents ages 18 or older (those ages 16-18 can make an appointment with the health department to receive another vaccine). On its Facebook page, the health department notes that those who receive their first dose at the event will be fully vaccinated in time for the July 4 holiday.
