2 COVID-19 deaths bring county’s total to 139

HANCOCK COUNTY — The county reported two more COVID-19 deaths over the weekend, raising its death toll from the novel coronavirus to 139.

One of the victims was age 80 or older and the other was in their 60s. One was a man and the other a woman. The deaths occurred on April 10 and March 30.

The county also added 60 COVID-19 cases over the weekend. While its seven-day moving average of cases remains far below its high of 91 in January, it is on the rise, up to 18 on Sunday.

Indiana reported three new COVID-19 deaths Monday, for a total of 12,746; and 908 new cases, for a total of nearly 700,000.
