Grand opening to feature bounce houses, food trucks
FORTVILLE — Gateway Community Church of Fortville plans a grand opening celebration on April 11.
After the service at 10 a.m., food trucks, bounce houses and more will be available for everyone to enjoy.
Pantry can use chili ingredients, paper products
McCORDSVILLE — Angel Connection Food Pantry is open from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesdays at McCordsville United Methodist Church, 6247 W. Broadway, McCordsville.
Items can also be donated during that time. Needed items include chili ingredients such as tomatoes, tomato sauce, beans, seasoning and macaroni/spaghetti; canned meats such as chicken, tuna or beef stew; canned sloppy Joe mix; condiments such as mustard, ketchup and mayonnaise; any kind of crackers; cereal; cleaning supplies; dish soap; and paper products such as tissues, toilet paper and paper towels.

Romans study available on Zoom
GREENFIELD — A Bible study of St. Paul’s letter to the Romanswill take place over the videoconferencing platform Zoom from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursdays, starting April 8 and concluding May 20. It is sponsored by St. Michael Parish in Greenfield.
St. Paul writes to the Romans concerning salvation, justification, faith and works. Sessions are taught by a team of lay teachers who are graduates of Guadalupe Bible College.

Blood drive set for Monday
GREENFIELD — When you donate blood, it’s screened for COVID antibodies. You can help someone else and find also out whether you might have had the virus and been asymptomatic.
A blood drive is set for 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at the southwest corner of Main and Pennsylvania streets — across from Bradley United Methodist Church, 210 W. Main St.
