INDIANAPOLIS — The eyes of the basketball world are focused on Indiana as it hosts non-stop basketball throughout the month of March and into April. To celebrate this historic event in basketball history, the Indiana Historical Society has assembled multiple resources for the media and fans. IndianaHistory.org/basketball is a new website resource with multi-media offerings, historical photos, articles, an interactive app and historical gems. Additional links from the page include “Afternoon with an Archivist: Hoosier Hoops 101,” “History Happy Hour: A History of Hoosier Hysteria” and “A Brief History on Indiana Basketball.”

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Zoo’s spring festival, xZOOberance! kicks off today at the zoo, 1200 W. Washington St. Sponsored by Daniel’s Vineyard, the festival continues every Thursday through Sunday until April 11. Activities run10 a.m. through 4 p.m. at the Bicentennial Pavilion, where oversized pinwheels spin in the breeze and brightly colored kites float overhead. Landscaping features large animal-shaped topiaries and a living wall of plant life. Visitors can enjoy continuous live entertainment with a changing lineup for all 12 days. The variety of acts on the main stage include the Kenyattá Dance Company, Cathy Morris, and People, Paint & Percussion. A second stage features entertainment by interactive performers, drummers and acoustic musicians. Families can stretch out with animal-inspired yoga, meet chickens and goats, and express their creativity with a take-home craft kit. Guests can unwind and enjoy specialty food items, like Bavarian pretzels, kettle chips and kid-friendly refreshments. xZOOberance! is included in zoo admission.
