INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Citizens Redistricting Commission is asking for public feedback about what Hoosiers would like to see the state legislature prioritize in the redistricting process, in preparation to submitting its findings to the Indiana General Assembly.

The commission is holding a virtual meeting in each of the state’s nine congressional districts to seek input about what priorities should be included in the redrawing process, asking whether compactness, competitiveness and other factors are important to citizens.

The meeting for the 6th Congressional District, which includes Hancock County, will be held today (Tuesday, March 16) from 7-9 p.m.

The legislature will redraw Indiana’s congressional districts and its districts for the state Senate and House of Representatives this year, after receiving data from the U.S. Census on Indiana’s population.
