HANCOCK COUNTY — Montessori Science Academy, in New Palestine can add another team qualifying for the virtual VEX Robotics World Championship slated for May 17-29.
An elementary rookie team called the "Wonder Twins" team 18799C placed 27th and was awarded a Skills Award, which qualified them for the World Championship with their robot "Princess." The team was guided by a group of second grade girls Miriam Isom, Leighton Abraham and Laila Franklin. State officials accidentally omitted the team from their list of the original winners at the virtual 2021 Indiana VEX Robotics State Championship.
