HANCOCK COUNTY — Copies of ‘Just Mercy,’ the book that is serving as a catalyst for a community discussion about race, inequality and the criminal justice system, are now available in the community.

Copies are available at the Hancock County Public Library and the Fortville-Vernon Township Library. A limited number of copies also are at the Daily Reporter offices, 22 W. New Road in Greenfield. Others may be found in restaurants, Little Free Library kiosks and other public places. Readers are asked to leave the book in a public place when they are finished with it so it may be picked up by someone else.

The community reading campaign will culminate on May 6 with the screening of a movie based on the book and a panel discussion.
