Historic preservation photo contest seeks entries

INDIANA — Indiana Department of Natural Resources Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology moves into a new decade with updated rules and guidelines for its annual Historic Preservation Photo Contest. Since 2005, the contest has accepted only print format photos; this year the contest will accept only digital submissions. As in previous years, all subjects of photos must be located in Indiana and be at least 50 years old. Photos can be black and white or color and must have been taken within the last two years. Each photographer may enter up to three images. An entry form is required for each photo, and each photo must be emailed separately. Participants will need to select one of five contest categories on the entry form in which to enter their photo: color, black and white, children (younger than age 18), artistic and altered image. Visit dnr.IN.gov/historic/3994.htm for parameters of the altered image category, contest guidelines and the entry form. Images should be emailed to [email protected] and must be JPEG files no larger than 10 MB. The entry deadline is April 2.
