County records COVID-19 death and 12 new cases

HANCOCK COUNTY — The county recorded another COVID-19 death Monday, raising its total to 127.

The victim was a man in his 70s who died on Feb. 9, according to information from the Indiana State Department of Health.

Hancock County also added 12 new novel coronavirus cases Monday, bringing that total to 7,317.

The county added 207 COVID-19 tests Monday, raising that total to 87,759.

Indiana added 19 COVID-19 deaths Monday, bringing its total to 11,765. Another 817 cases brought that total to almost 650,000.

More than 11,600 Hancock County residents have received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and nearly 4,700 were fully vaccinated as of early Monday. Statewide, almost 817,000 had received a first dose, and nearly 337,000 were fully vaccinated.
