NEW PALESTINE
Shad L. Carroll, age 45, of New Palestine, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. He was born in Greenfield on October 20, 1975 to Richard “Louie” and Paula (Galloway) Carroll. He graduated from New Palestine High School in 1994.
He was a security officer for Allied Security in Indianapolis. Shad loved Colts Football and watching and following high school, college, and professional football. He was a Jeff Gordon fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR and Indy 500. Shad loved telling long jokes and laughing. He was a kind hearted loving person. He would help anyone out anyway he could. Since his birthday was around Halloween, he was able to have a fun birthday party carving pumpkins and enjoying bonfires with his family. Shad most of all loved being with his family and playing Wii Bowling and playing cards with the kids. His laugh, smile, and words will forever be missed.
Shad is survived by his parents, Paula Carroll and Richard “Louie” Carroll; sister, Amanda Brown (Matt Sharp); niece, Alie Brown; nephew, Troy Brown; maternal grandmother, Beverly Galloway; uncle, Mark Galloway (Carol); aunt, Karla Morrison (Mike) in AL; uncle, Doug Carroll (Debbie); aunt, Carla Collins; and several cousins that he enjoyed spending time with. He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Lawrence Galloway; and paternal grandparents, Harold and Elnora Carroll.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. As a reminder, the government mandate requires guests to wear masks when inside our building. We must limit the number of guests at a time and please practice social distancing.
