Hancock Arts calls for artists
HANCOCK COUNTY — Hancock County Arts has put out a call for art for a Winter Wonderland Exhibit for January at the Twenty North Gallery. Exhibiting in the show is open to members only but a year-long Hancock Arts Council membership is just $35. Art from any medium should depict snow-related images. Art should be dropped off between 3 and 5 p.m. on Jan. 6 or 7 at the Twenty North Gallery, 20 N. State St. The show opens with a reception from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 8 at the gallery. Library Cooking Club takes on holiday spirits
HANCOCK COUNTY — Teens and adults are invited to join the Hancock County Public Library’s virtual cooking club on Facebook. To join, go to facebook.com/groups/hcplcookingclub, and click the “Join Group” button. Librarian Nicole Scurlock will post a new themed challenge with a different theme bi-weekly. The cooking challenge for Dec. 28 is "Holiday Spirits." Raise your glasses and toast to the new year by preparing and posting your favorite cocktail or mock-tail. Paint a ceramic pick-up truck and tree
INDIANAPOLIS – Join Buck Creek Winery and Painted Lady Canvas for a ceramic painting workshop. At 6 p.m. Dec. 30 at the Buck Creek Winery, 11747 Indian Creek Road, artists of all skill levels are invited to paint a ceramic pick-up truck. The project includes the ceramic piece, paints and brushes, colored plastic bulbs and a night light to install in the base of the piece.
