Library cooking club to take on cookies
GREENFIELD — Teens and adults are invited to join the Hancock County Public Library’s virtual cooking club on Facebook. To join, go to facebook.com/groups/hcplcookingclub, and click the “Join Group” button. Librarian Nicole Scurlock will post a new themed challenge with a different theme bi-weekly. The cooking challenge for Dec. 14 is “Cookie Recipe Swap.” Whether its gingerbread, thumbprint, Snickerdoodle or biscotti, prepare and showcase your favorite cookie, and swap recipes with the group. On the date listed on the challenge sheet on the Facebook page, post a photo of your cookies, include in your post the name of the dish and a brief description of your experience in making it, and if possible, post the recipe. Make glass trees for the holidays
INDIANAPOLIS — Learn how to create glass trees for 4 to 5 p.m. on Dec. 12 at the Broad Ripple location of Kiln Creations, 6511 Ferguson St. For $40, attendees will piece together two trees with from a wide choice of colors and design, learn about glass and pick up your finished trees by the end of the week.
