Pork burger drive through to benefit family

GREENFIELD — A drive-through pork burger fundraiser will take place from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, Dec. 9) outside the home of an Eastern Hancock family who could use some extra support.

Mitch Blocher, a longtime member of the Indiana State Police and supporter of Eastern Hancock schools, is in the late stages of battling brain cancer.

To support him and his family, friends from the Eastern Hancock Athletic Booster Club will be grilling 1,000 burgers in the family’s front yard, at 6493 E. County Road 200N. The burgers will be sold for a goodwill donation.

The road will be converted to a one-way street throughout the fundraiser, during which supporters can stop by and record video messages for Blocher, his wife, Angeline, and their two teenage sons, who will be watching the event from their front porch.

Those attending are asked to enter County Road 200N from County Road 700E and exit onto County Road 600E.
