Library offers take-and-make paper wreath

GREENFIELD/NEW PALESTINE – Kids in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade can pick up a free take-and-make kit to make a 3-D paper wreath. Each kit contains the supplies and instructions necessary to complete the project. While supplies last, kits can be picked up at the children’s desk all day during open library hours on Dec. 7 at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road, Greenfield, or the New Palestine Branch Library at 5731 West U.S. Highway 52, New Palestine. No registration necessary. One kit per participant. Winter Break camp registration open at ISM

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana State Museum is offering a selection of Winter Break camps at the museum, 650 W. Washington St., Dec. 28 through Jan. 4. On Dec. 28, children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade can participate in “Snow Fun” to investigate winter by making snow, learning about snowflakes and creating take-home snow dough. On Dec. 29, children can warm up from chilly weather with arts and crafts creations. Paint with ice or make some New Year’s Eve decorations. Join in on “It’s Game Time!” on Dec. 30 to discover what makes a game great and use new skills to create a new game. On Jan. 4, young campers dig into science with “Light & Shadows.” Campers will experiment with light and test out what shadows can be created with light with guest leaders from the Franklin Institute. Downtown IMAX continues Polar Express pajama party tradition

INDIANAPOLIS — The IMAX Theater in the Indiana State Museum, 650 W. Washington St., will celebrate glad tidings with special screenings of “The Polar Express: An IMAX 3D Experience.” Through Dec. 20, the theater will host “Polar Pajama Parties.” Young moviegoers are invited to come in their pajamas with their families to see a special screening.
