McCordsville recycling bins getting set hours

McCORDSVILLE — The town of McCordsville will be enforcing set hours for the recycling bins behind Town Hall, located at 6280 W. County Road 800N.

The amount of recycling has become so great that it has become a clean-up problem for town staff every Monday morning. Non-recyclable items and boxes that have not been broken down are being placed in bins. Items are also being placed on the pavement outside the bins.

A gate has been installed to the recycling area. The new recycling drop-off hours, which will begin on Dec. 6, are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The site will be closed on Sundays. The gate will be closed before and after those times.

CGS picks up the recycling on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
