Ineta (Wheeler) Gray, age 90, of New Palestine, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at her residence. She was born in Beckley, West Virginia on February 19, 1930 to Samuel and Willa (Miller) Wheeler. Ineta married Arthur J. Gray on May 23, 1955 in Indianapolis.

She worked for Western Electric for over 30 years before retiring in 1983. Ineta was a member of Cumberland Christian Church. She enjoyed collecting antiques, woodworking, playing dominoes, toll painting, and gospel music. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her great-grandchildren.

Ineta is survived by her daughter, Anita (Gray) Quinn of New Palestine; grandchildren, Amber Decker of Morristown, Elizabeth Quinn of New Palestine, and Michael Quinn of Anderson; six great-grandchildren, Addison, Bentley, Aiden, Jessa, Trevor, and Hadley; sisters, Gloria Finchum of Indianapolis, June Romage of Salem IN, Beth Chastain of Salem, IN, Ardena Pittman of North Carolina, and Sandy Smith of North Carolina; neighbors and lifelong friends, Greg and Donna Hamm and Carol and Chet Mosley. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Constance, Tom, Bobby, Billy, and Donald.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Cumberland Christian Church, 39 N. Starter St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Tom Scott will be officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis. As a reminder, the government mandate requires guests to wear masks. We are limited to a capacity of 50 guests at a time and ask that guests please practice social distancing.
