County adds 52 COVID-19 cases

HANCOCK COUNTY — The Indiana State Department of Health reported 52 new COVID-19 cases for the county Thursday, raising the total to 2,219.

No new novel coronavirus deaths were reported for Hancock County, keeping that total at 48. The county added 572 new administered tests, for a total of 38,857.

Hancock County’s seven-day (Nov. 6-12) positivity rate for all tests dropped slightly to 10.4%, while the cumulative rate remained at 5.4%. The seven-day positivity rate for unique individuals also dropped slightly to 17.7%, while the cumulative rate rose slightly to 9.4%.

Indiana added 7,420 cases Thursday from between Nov. 2 and 18, raising the total to 275,503. The state’s COVID-19 death toll now stands at 4,889 after 59 more fatalities were recorded from between Oct. 30 and Nov. 18. The state’s seven-day (Nov. 6-12) positivity rates for all tests and and unique individuals did not change much — 12.1% and 23.6%, respectively. The cumulative rates are 6.8% for all tests and 13.7% for unique individuals.
