Library to hold book sale
GREENFIELD — The Friends of Hancock County Public Library will hold its gently used book sale from Nov. 19 through 21 and Nov. 23, at the Greenfield location, 900 W. McKenzie Road. In addition to hardback and paperback books, the sale will include audio books, DVDs and CDs. The sale runs from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 19; 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 20; from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 21. Most hardbacks cost a dollar, and paperbacks cost 50 cents. Children’s books are 50 cents and 25 cents. DVDs, CDs and audio books are $1. Bargain day is from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 23. A standard paper grocery bag full of books sells for $3, a plastic grocery bag for $2. Proceeds from the quarterly book sale fund free concerts and children’s special events.
