Verizon retailer reaches goal for hospital

INDIANAPOLIS — TCC, a Verizon retailer, has met its $1 million donation to the Riley Children’s Foundation, benefiting patients of Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health.

The donation was part of a multi-faceted five-year partnership between TCC and the Riley Children’s Foundation, which began in August 2015.

A portion of the donation fund went toward the creation of the TCC Rainforest Activity Center, an area solely dedicated to therapeutic play for patients and their families. TCC outfitted the Rainforest Activity Center with art supplies as well as the latest high-tech games and gear, such as motion-sensing floor projectors, touch screen computers, interactive wall-touch screens, tablets and a multimedia projector. Other portions of the donation were used to fund ongoing research.
