GREENFIELD — A drive-thru trunk or treat event will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 31) in front of Trinity Park United Methodist Church, 207 W. Park Ave.

NEW PALESTINE — New Palestine United Methodist Church will have a Trunk or Treat from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 31) at the church, 3565 S. County Road 500W, New Palestine. The church will block off a section of its parking lot for the event. Visitors can go in costume for fellowship and treats.

Candy walk winds through remodeled church

NEW PALESTINE — The Harvest Hoedown Candy Walk is set for 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 31) at Brookville Road Community Church, 7480 W. U.S. 52.

Families will stop by 20 candy/treat stations as they take their Candy Walk through the church. They can also see the new children’s spaces ahead of the church’s sanctuary grand opening on Sunday.

Fall festival is today

FORTVILLE — Fortville Church of the Nazarene will have a family fall festival from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 31) at the church, 701 S. Maple St.

All activities will be outside and conducive to social distancing. The event features live animals and a trunk or treat. Several food trucks will visit as a concessions option; the church will not be serving food beyond the treats.

GREENFIELD — Brown’s Chapel Wesleyan Church’s annual Trunk-or-Treat community event is set for 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 31), rain or shine. Free activities will include food, hayrides, indoor mini-golf and plenty of candy given out when the kids go from trunk to trunk.

CUMBERLAND — New Life Church will have what it’s billing as a “not so scary” Trunk or Treat from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 31) in the church parking lot, 501 N. Buck Creek Road, Cumberland.

Turkey noodle dinner set at Philadelphia

GREENFIELD — Philadelphia United Methodist Church, Royal Neighbors Chapter 1397 and Mt. Comfort Church will partner on a carry-out turkey noodle dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Philadelphia church, 2265 W. U.S. 40.

The menu includes turkey and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, cole slaw and choice of dessert (apple pie, pumpkin pie or chocolate cake). The cost of the meal is $8.

‘Surviving the Holidays’ set

GREENFIELD — When you’re grieving a loved one’s death, the holiday season can be especially painful.

“Surviving the Holidays” is a seminar that helps participants discover:

-How to deal with emotions

-What to do about traditions

-Helpful tips for surviving social events

-How to find hope for the future
