GREENFIELD — Purdue Extension Hancock County will be hosting an open house for families interested in joining 4-H. The open house will take place from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25, at the Hancock County Fairgrounds’ Sarah Burke 4-H Exhibit Hall.

The whole family is welcome to attend the event at any point during the open house.

Samples of 4-H projects will be on display, and club leaders and project superintendents will be on hand to answer questions. Computers will be available to enroll online for the 2020-21 4-H year. Enrollment in 4-H is open to any youth in grades 3-12, and the “mini” program is available for children in kindergarten through second grade.

Those who enroll in 4-H during the event will receive a prize and be entered into a drawing to receive a 4-H hammock.

Social distancing will be practiced at the event, and masks will be required.
