Hospice receives deficiency-free rating

GREENFIELD — Suburban Hospice recently received a deficiency-free rating after being surveyed by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care.

During the survey window, a surveyor arrives onsite to review hospice policies and procedures, organizational structure, emergency preparedness, infection control, staff education and quality assessment plans. The surveyor reviews patient charts for accurate documentation and observes patient care to ensure that all team members — from the medical director to hospice aides — are providing care consistent with top standards in hospice care.
