Spaghetti drive-through to aid preschool

GREENFIELD — Faith Lutheran Preschool will have a drive-through spaghetti dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at Faith Lutheran Church, 200 W. McKenzie Road.

The meal — which includes spaghetti and meatballs, a bread stick, a salad and a brownie — is $10 per person. Organizers estimate one meal would feed two small children.

The tomato sauce for the spaghetti is made from tomatoes grown in the church garden.

Group urges prayer for community servants

FORTVILLE — Each week of September, Fortville Christians Unite is publishing a prayer for a different group of community servants. The third one, a prayer for emergency responders, appears in elsewhere in today’s edition of the Daily Reporter.

Other prayers this month highlight educators (Sept. 5), law enforcement officers (Sept. 12), and medical workers (Sept. 26).

The group’s hope is that community members will take time to stop by a parking lot and pray for those working inside, either using the published prayer as a guide or voicing their own prayer.
