GREENFIELD — The Hancock County Public Library has reopened after a lengthy COVID-related closure.

Both branches, in Greenfield and New Palestine, are now operating on a limited schedule: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. The library remains closed on Sundays.

Library staff members are wearing masks and regularly sanitizing surfaces and other high-touch areas. Patrons are also encouraged to wear masks.

The toys in the Kids’ Rooms remain in storage, but the playhouses have been turned into a large game of I-Spy.

Patrons are encouraged to return any materials that are due. No fines are being charged for materials that were due during the closure.
