To the editor:

I have enjoyed the articles by Christine Schaefer, the Daily Reporter’s entertainment editor, under the "Staying Connected" title. There were a couple of items in the article in last weekend’s Daily Reporter that really piqued my interest. The first was titled, "Take a tour of the Coffin House." This house, I believe in Henry County, is the site of a house on the Underground Railroad. This house is now a museum that gives visitors a glimpse of life in this abolitionist’s house. Since social isolating has closed many historic sites, the staff at this museum have decided to offer virtual tours. The tour I just saw was a review of some of the paintings and photographs of Levi Coffin, following from his time as a younger to older man.

Another piece is titled, "Stories for adults from that Reading Rainbow guy." You guessed it, Levar Burton is reading short stories for adults in his own podcast. These short stories, by contemporary authors, last from 40 to 55 minutes. I have not sampled any of these yet.

Thank you, Christine, for this information that is likely to help keep us informed and entertained even as things open up.
