HANCOCK COUNTY — The Hancock County 911 Center will be performing additional testing of Hancock County Emergency Management’s weather sirens at 11 a.m. Friday, May 29.

This test of the outdoor sirens is part of a radio system upgrade to the county’s emergency communication system. Residents should expect to hear several different rounds of the sirens going off throughout the county. The tests will occur between the hours of 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Any severe weather in the area will cause the tests to be postponed until Monday, June 1.

More information about the tests can be found on the Hancock County 911 or the Hancock County Emergency Management Facebook pages. To report an issue with a siren, please use the “Report A Siren” link on the EMA Facebook page.
