No new COVID-19 deaths or cases added

HANCOCK COUNTY — The county’s COVID-19 totals remained at 270 cases and 19 deaths Tuesday, according to the Indiana State Department of Health, indicating no change from the day before.

More than 60 tests were added, however, raising that sum to 2,349. Those tests spanned from April 26 to May 10.

The 566 COVID-19 cases Indiana added to its total Tuesday occurred between March 23 and May 11, bringing the total to 25,127. The number of COVID-19 deaths reported to the state department of health stood at 1,444, 33 more than Monday’s total. The state department of health’s online COVID-19 dashboard reports those deaths occurred between May 6 and May 11. Tests reported to the department rose to 150,510, the latest 4,697 of which being reported between March 17 and May 11.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported Tuesday that as of Monday, May 11 the U.S. had more than 1.3 million COVID-19 cases and almost 80,000 deaths.
