Organizations receive relief fund grants

GREENFIELD — The Hancock County Community Foundation has made more grants to local organizations from the Heart for Hancock fund, which was set up to offer assistance during the COVID-19 outbreak.

The recipients include:

–Mental Health Partners of Hancock County, which received $3,000 after experiencing an influx of calls for mental health services related to trauma and grief associated with the outbreak. The funds will help the agency meet the growing demand for services.

–Fortville Christian Church, which received $1,700 to support the purchase of an additional commercial refreigerator for its food pantry program.

–Shares Inc., which will receive $1,500 for touchless thermometers to check temperatures of staff and participants in its sheltered workshop for people with disabilities.
