HANCOCK COUNTY — Organizers of an annual event that honors first responders, veterans and active military have set up a virtual counterpart recognizing those keeping society going through the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Exchange Clubs of Hancock County and Lawrence Exchange Club’s COVID-19 Virtual Field of Honor recognizes medical personnel, truck drivers, food service workers, grocery store employees and anyone who has contributed to keeping the public safe, fed and healthy during the crisis.

Those who served on the front lines of the pandemic will be celebrated at this year’s Field of Honor, during which flags will dot Airport Boulevard in Mt. Comfort July 2 through 5.
