MT. COMFORT — Churches have had to cancel egg hunts, but some have instructions posted for Easter scavenger hunts children can complete at home.

Church plans post-service “honk-in”
GREENFIELD — Curry’s Chapel United Methodist Church’s Easter service will be viewable online only.
This week, however, parishioners are invited to watch on their devices from their cars and gather in the church parking lot, remaining in their cars to respect social distancing. After the service, plans are for motorists to honk their horns together.
Grammy-nominated artist to appear in online service
FORTVILLE — Sunday’s Easter service at Fortville Church of the Nazarene features Grammy-nominated gospel artist Doug Anderson.

Church offering evening carry-out
WILKINSON — Wilkinson Church of Christ will serve free carry-out evening meals from 5 to 7 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
If you are able to call the church at 765-781-2585 to indicate how many meals you need, it would be appreciated.

Shirley church offers sack lunches
SHIRLEY — Shirley-Wilkinson Community United Methodist Church hands out carry-out sack lunches between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from the church at 309 South St., Shirley. The Rev. Rick Hutston said the church was planning a summer lunch program, but “since the schools are closed now we have decided to go forward.” The church’s food pantry also remains available; those needing assistance should call the church office first at (765) 738-6710.
Wellspring Center has drive-through pantry
GREENFIELD — Wellspring Center at Brandywine Community Church, 1551 E. New Road, Greenfield, has begun a drive-through food pantry on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Donate non-perishable foods, paper and cleaning products, toiletry items and pet food to the center during the pantry hours: 3 to 7 p.m. Mondays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays.
