Man sentenced for meth possession

HANCOCK COUNTY — A Centerville man who was facing eight drug and motor vehicle charges has been sentenced after a plea agreement.

Christofer Frank Walter Summers, 31, 700 block of East Main Street, Centerville, was sentenced on Thursday, Feb. 27, to a four-year term in prison, with two years and 183 days suspended by Hancock County Circuit Court Judge Scott Sirk for a Level 5 felony count of possession of methamphetamine. Summers was also given a two-year, 183-day term with one year suspended for a Level 6 felony count of unlawful possession of a syringe. He was given the same sentence for a Level 6 felony county of possession of a narcotic drug. The sentences will run concurrently, according to court records. Summers was given 145 days of jail credit.

The rest of the charges were dropped as part of the plea agreement.
