INDIANAPOLIS — It’s no secret that the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis isn’t just for kids. But did you ever wish you could visit without having to wade through a sea of second graders on a field trip? Or without your own children making every single decision of what to see and where to go next? Well, here’s your chance.

The Children’s Museum offers Museum by Moonlight from 8 p.m. to midnight on Feb. 29 — open only to “kids” 21 and over.

All five floors of new and classic exhibits are open for exploration, plus activities specifically geared to adults: astonishment artist Mat LeVore will be on hand for magic and mindreading; break it down with the dinos in the silent-disco in Dinosphere®; learn a Greek dance, how cheese is made or participate in an adult-only snowball fight; checkout a Science of Alcohol session hosted by Sun King Brewing or Hotel Tango; laugh out loud at a Ted Talk with the Twist by CSz Indianapolis, Home of Comedy Sportz; watch screenings of “The Future is Here—How Sci-fi Becomes Reality,” the museum’s immersive multimedia experience featuring the recorded voice of Star Trek star George Takei as the narrator; explore the indoor Riley Children’s Health Sports Legend Experience® galleries late night; take your shot at Zombie Dodgeball; enjoy sips and bites from local restaurants; dance to music from local DJs; take a shot with the Indy Sports teams; and snap a selfie on the carousel.
