Helen D. Cavanaugh, 90, of Greenfield, passed away December 30, 2019.

Helen was born January 4, 1929 in McConnelsville, Ohio to the late Dennis and Bessie Dailey.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandy Ertel; three grandchildren, Allen Hill, Mike (Lisa) Fleetwood, Kristi (A.J.) Lewman; five great grandchildren, Isabel (Keegan) Lytle, Amelia and Clara Fleetwood, Kayli and Lexi Lewman; brother William Dailey; and sister, Juanita Kolcheck. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Donald “Don” Cavanaugh; son, Mike L. Fleetwood; and brother, Ken Dailey.

Helen worked for Western Electric in molding before retiring in 1968. Following her retirement she went to work as a researcher for Walker Research and retired in 1989 in order to enjoy her retirement years with her husband. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, loved to go shopping, and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing and making quilts. She enjoyed the food her husband would order from various states, but was especially known for her love of Mentos.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 6, 2020 from 12:30-2:30 p.m followed by a service at 2:30 p.m. at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street.
