GREENFIELD — Join like-minded cooks at the first meeting of Hancock County Public Library’s new cookbook club, where foodies and home cooks are invited to sample recipes and discuss cuisine from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on the first Monday of every month. Participants should bring a prepared, homemade dish and its recipe to share with the group and then serve up their experience in making it. The theme of the first meeting is "New Year, New You!" to be interpreted in any way you choose. Bring a dish you’ve never made before, or cook something with ingredients you’ve never worked with. Try out a recipe that adheres to that new diet you’ve started. Or use the new kitchen appliance you just got for Christmas and tell us about it. For more information on how to participate, contact Nicole Scurlock at [email protected] or 317-462-5141, ext. 215. And check out the more than 1,600 cookbooks on the shelves of the library, 900 W. McKenzie Road.
