‘Little Women’ playing at Legacy Cinema

First a musical and now a full-length big-screen film, it’s safe to say that Louisa May Alcott’s 1869 novel, “Little Women,” has legs. The movie, directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, Timothy Chalamet and Laura Dern follows the lives of four sisters, Amy, Jo, Beth and Meg, as they come of age in America in the aftermath of the Civil War. Though all very different from each other, the March sisters stand by each other through difficult and changing times. Rated PG, “Little Women” is playing now at the Legacy, 2347 W. Main St., Greenfield. Visit legacycinema.com for show times.
