GREENFIELD
Everett A. Harmon Jr., 87, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. He was born June 22, 1932 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a son of the late Everett A. Harmon, Sr. and Maebeth (Johnson) Ross.
Everett moved to Cave City, Kentucky as a child for 12 years, then moved to Indianapolis, then Greenfield. He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1999 after 38 years of service. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge, Indianapolis and American Legion in Greenfield. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in the postal service during the Korean War. Everett was an avid bowler for over 40 years and traveled with his family to many bowling tournaments.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Charlotte (Davis) Harmon, whom he married May 23, 1964; son, Rodney (Carol) Harmon of Wilkinson; daughter, Stacy (Tony) Helsley of Greenfield; three grandchildren, Alexa & Dylan Helsley and Brittany (Chris) Chesher; three great granddaughters; several nieces & nephews; and a sister, Marie (Herb) Inglert of Greencastle.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Willis Jack Harmon and Edmond Harmon.
