GYBA Booster Club to host event with Jameson

The Greenfield Youth Baseball Association Booster Club is hosting a meet-and-greet event with Greenfield-Central graduate Drey Jameson on Saturday, Dec. 28.

The event will be held inside the Greenfield-Central High School auditorium from 1-3 p.m. with Wayne Addison serving as emcee.

Tickets for the event are $10 each with 100 percent of the proceeds going towards installing lighting for the new baseball fields at Franklin Sports Park. The GYBA Booster Clubs’ goal for their lighting and parking lot projects is $300,000.

The club hopes to provide 750 free tickets to local youths to meet Drey Jameson, who was a first-round draft pick by the Arizona Diamondbacks this past July.

Local businesses and individuals are encouraged to donate money to help secure free tickets for local youths. A $100-$250 donation will purchase 10-25 tickets, while a donation of $250-$500 will help 25-50 youths attend the event.

To donate, checks need to be made payable to the GYBA Booster Club and mailed to 250 Hidden Glen Dr., Greenfield, IN. 46140.
