Gov. Eric J. Holcomb today announced he has appointed Marie Castetter to succeed Judge Terry K. Snow as judge in Hancock County Superior Court 1.
Snow is set to retire Dec. 31.
Castetter, chief deputy prosecutor in Hancock County, was one of five people vying for the interim appointment, which runs through the end of Snow’s term next year. She already has announced her intention to run for the seat outright.
Castetter will be sworn in on a date to be determined.
