Marjorie Louise Harter, 95, passed away Wednesday Nov 20,2019, at Fort Wayne IN. She was born December 5,1923 in Muncie IN, to Harold Powers and Ethel Jacobs Power. She was a graduate of Albany High School and worked as a secretary at the New Palestine High School.
Marjorie and her husband Walter Harter (deceased 2011) lived in New Palestine and raised three sons, Edward R Harter (Jane), Richard Harter and Thomas Harter.
She is also survived by a daughter in law Shirley McPherson, a granddaughter Tammy McPherson, daughter in law Dolores Harter, a grandson David Harter, s daughter in law Katherine Berkshire, a granddaughter Elizabeth Montgomery, a sister Virginia Powers Rinker.a nephew Rod Rinker, a niece Dixie Powers Bertolet, a niece Bonnie Powers Chastain and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday Nov 25, 2019 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral at 12 noon at Hendryx Mortuary New Palestine Chapel 19 East Main St, New Palestine IN, burial is to follow in New Palestine Cemetery.
