Thanksgiving meal is Nov. 23

McCORDSVILLE — McCordsville United Methodist Church will serve a community Thanksgiving dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 23 at the church, 6247 W. Broadway, McCordsville.

Each year church members gather before the event to make noodles for it.

Everyone is welcome. A free-will offering is accepted.

Harvest Dinner is planned for Sunday

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Faith United Methodist Church will serve a Harvest Dinner after its 9:30 a.m. service Sunday. The church is located at 328 N. Swope St., Greenfield.

Willow Branch plans pitch-in

WILLOW BRANCH — Willow Branch United Methodist Church will have a Thanksgiving pitch-in at 11 a.m. Sunday at the church, 6244 N. Thomas St., Willow Branch.

Worship is at 9:30 a.m.

GREENFIELD — Brown’s Chapel Wesleyan Church’s annual Harvest Dinner is set for noon Sunday at the church, 994 N. County Road 700E.

Mt. Lebanon offers chili and a movie

GREENFIELD — Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, will play host to a free chili and movie night on Saturday (Nov. 16) at the church, 3447 S. State Road 9, Greenfield.

The chili dinner will start at 5:30 p.m. The movie “The Nativity Story” will be shown at 6:30 p.m.

This is a free event. The public is invited.

Churches to gather for Thanksgiving

SHIRLEY — A community Thanksgiving service is set for 6:30 p.m. Nov. 24 at Shirley Church of the Nazarene, 310 South St., Shirley.

The service is presented by the Community Ministerial Alliance. Area pastors will lead different parts of the service, and area churches often have a member or group share music, a poem or some other element of the service.

Rick Hutson, pastor of Shirley-Wilkinson Community United Methodist Church, will preach the message.

Churches in the alliance are Shirley Church of the Nazarene, Christ Fellowship Church, Warrington Church of the Nazarene, Wilkinson Church of Christ, Grant City Wesleyan Church, Shirley Friends Church and Shirley-Wilkinson Community United Methodist Church.

Everyone is welcome to the service, regardless of where/if they attend church.

St. John offers Thanksgiving dinner

CUMBERLAND — St. John United Church of Christ will serve a free community Thanksgiving dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at the church, 11910 E. Prospect St.

Everyone is welcome.

A service will follow the meal at 7 p.m.

CUMBERLAND — New Life Church will have a Thanksgiving service at 11 a.m. Nov. 24, followed by a Thanksgiving dinner at 1 p.m.

McCORDSVILLE — McCordsville United Methodist Church will have a Christmas Bazaar and luncheon from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 14 at the church, 6247 W. Broadway, McCordsville.
